The reverse match was a draw

Bog Trotters v Medieval Castilian

Both hugely enjoyable and very close games.
Any info on numbers or did the system destroy that info already?

Newest playoff addition is Voskarp who will beat ZumHeuriger on tiebreaker.

Only one week left! Not many matches left so doesn't look like there will be any issues. If you do not think you will finish a match before deadline, let me know before then so I can grant extensions/adjudicate on a timely basis.

And here it is ...

Londo (French) 20/39 beat iandavidsmith (Irish) 74/63

A wide open map, which was very convenient! French knights destroyed most of the gallowglasses by repeated charges. But the Irish put a lot of pressure on the flanks with endless waves of kern MF, and I'm quite surprised the French didn't have a late game collapse.

Most playoff matches are set and can begin with exception of Londo vs Dave_r/Mcfcivo match.

Dave_r/McWar matches will be adjudicated if they are not complete by Sep 25. The rest of the outstanding matches will not be adjudicated as they do not affect playoff matches. They do however affect FOG ratings and will be allowed to continue until Oct 9, at which point they will be adjudicated.

The Granadines are more dangerous than they look. Hidde trashed me with them back in LoEG days when I was running something knight heavy like the Santa Hermandad.

I just realized that Dave_r will advance to playoffs to face Londo no matter who wins these matches as he holds the tie-breaker advantage on Mcfcivo. My apologies for not noticing this earlier.

The final quarterfinal match will therefore be Dave_r vs Londo. Best of luck.

Dave_R (Castilian) beats McWar (Burgundian) 34/61 to 40/38

Clearly Castilian are a lot better than Burgundians... It's a good job the Castilians were concentrating on the Portugese and the French were in the way.

Jonathan4290 (Grenadines) 28/63 defeats Yuknoom (Swedes) 37/36

Both games were both highly contested and taxing. I doubt the semis will be tougher than those ones. Interesting to note here, the Grenadines actually outfought the Swedes overall. Anyways, my thanks to Yuknoom for the great series and participating in the tournament; you will absolutely receive an invitation to the next one.

batesmotel(Danish) 31/48 beat voskarp (Low Countries) 53/51

The Danes are a tough match for the Low Countries with their pikes and armoured heavy weapon troops that are all better frontally than the Low Country spearmen. Thanks for the games.

Londo (Irish) 29/65 beat dave_r (Castilian) 70/61

Londo (Castilian) 45/48 beat dave_r (Irish) 100/96 (!!)

Before this match, I don't think I ever fought an opponent with 96 BP in a 500 point game! The Irish can take a lot of Kerns as 5 point MF or 2 point LF. I took 18 MF, 15 LF in my build. But Dave had them all as LF. And they kept running away from me - it was like herding sheep! :)

But the big battalions approach almost worked, as the scoreline shows.
