death roll

Post by bahdahbum »

When you throw for the death roll , thereis a +2 modificator if in a draw or winning the melee .
Now what happen's if you are fighting two BG with one BG . One result is 3 hits vs 3 hits and 0 hits vs 1 hit , the one BG receivng the hit .
So your unit received a total of 4 hits but inflicted "only " 3 hits . What happen's to the death roll as in general terms the lone unit inflicted less hits than it received, but one of the melee is a draw . is there a +2 or not .

A battle group that has suffered more total hits than it inflicted in close combat during a phase has "lost". (It does not matter if it drew or won against some of its opponents - it may matter to them, but not to it). It must take a CT and it takes its death roll without the +2.

If a battle group inflicts less hits that it receives against some of its opponents, but overall inflicts at least as many hits as it receives from all of its opponents, it has not "lost". It does not take a CT, and it takes its death roll with +2.

Only the total hits inflicted and received matter to each battle group. It is possible for battle groups on both sides of a multiple close combat to "lose".
