Android version of BA?
Hi Ian! What are the plans for an Android version of Battle Academy?

Re: Android version of BA?
It's more a case of opportunity costs. Android stats tell a story of lower sales and higher piracy and so it makes it tougher for us to make the decision to spend the time doing the Android port. It's definitely something I would like to do, but I only have limited time...
I'm also hopeful that Google will get out an NDK version of their new integrated IDE so that I can toss away the duct-tape-and-string build and debug "system" that they expect people to use currently
Cheers
Pip

Head on over to Google play store and have a look at the titles John Tiller has recently released. Older PC titles but where Slitherine has abandoned the Andriod system Tiller is embracing.

Ahh, sweet Tiller civil war games. One of my personal favorites from the 1990's, the original Battleground series from Talonsoft. I have all of them.
Scourge of War is nice and all but the original turn-based games with regiment-level depth are true classics. They stand the test of time for me.

They are at the Apple store too, but the interface is very lame. And the Campaign series releases are very incomplete in their content.jcb989 wrote:Ahh, sweet Tiller civil war games. One of my personal favorites from the 1990's, the original Battleground series from Talonsoft. I have all of them.

I think the best way to describe our operations to date is that they have violated every recognized principle of war.
