Fighting in Two directions - clarification

A clarification. Pg.88 seems to state that if a battlegroup has some elements turned 90 or 180 degrees to melee, and is in contact with different enemy BG.

no worries there.

but, it also seems to indicate that the *entire* BG has a -1 POA for fighting in two directions.

is this the case, or do the elements fighting "straight ahead" (i.e. not turned away from the original facing of the unit) no lose the POA?

i'm thinking the intention is that the entire group loses the POA.

The entire BG gets the - PoA.
