In a battle with Cave I lost a Panther due to a Typhoon. A WirbelWind was behind the Panther and it attacked from the front. I lost both units I have come up with 3 conclusions. 1. Typhoons are overpowered and ignore AA guns (other than 88s for some reason :? ) 2 it just got a lucky shot or 3 the game hates me and wishes for me and my men to suffer at the hands of Cavehobbit

Ranger,

I understand that US conscription efforts have resulted in Guardsman (Mick) and several others queuing in NJ to load up in their Liberty ships... imminently joining the Allied forces in Normandy? Is that correct?

I believe the following player list is up-to-date... New recruits join us as Captains... Ranks are indicative, to help commanders/players to approximately judge the playing skill of their opponents... but of course, ranks are fluid, ready for fast-track battlefield promotions, or temporary training demotions, earned on the coming victories in the field... 8)

RANKS AT THE START OF JUNE 11th...

Allies

Maj Ranger (Acting Supreme Allied Commander)

Lt Gen Jcb989 OBE
Col JonCorcuera MC (MIA?)
Lt Col Hidde
Lt Col iProp
Maj K9mike (Semi Ret'd)
Maj CoreySr (MIA?)
Capt MKboy1313 (MIA?)
Capt Guardsman (new)
Capt ProtectiveDaddy (new)
Capt Rblancha (new)

Germans

Lt Col CaveHobbit (German High Kommandant)

Lt Gen Mlazar
Lt Col Morge4
Lt Col Mowby
Lt Col Honour79 RK m EL
Capt LandMarine (new)

I've not heard from Mlazar or Mowby for a while, so I'm not sure if they are MIA? Morge has read my pm, but not answered so I'm uncertain about him as well?

Yes, Gottalove88s, I can confirm that, satisfying minimum qualifications and standards be damned (at least in the case of the current Acting Supreme Commander), the Allied side has successfully conscripted and indoctinated three new cannon fodder.... er I mean BG commanders.
Also, Hidde and K9Mike have checked in with me.
I will send PMs to CoreySr, iProp, Jcb989, MKboy1313, and JonCorcuera to attempt to confirm their availability and/or their desire to be sent to Inactive Reserves Status.

Cheers,

Thomas

As previously discussed and coordinated with the GM/GottaLove88s, the Allied Team is ready to resume hostilities as soon as he is available to receive and process our teams June 11 orders.

As it is, the soonest the GM will be able to review our orders is July 5th.
The soonest he will be able to process them is sometime after he's had a chance to catch his breath from 2 days of exams (4-5 July).

I'm sure we all wish Gottalove88s the best of luck in passing his certified canine and hamster taxidermist exams.

Cheers,

Thomas

Get to know your team mates. Brainstorm ideas... Then send me some drafts for can we/can't we type questions...
Use Jcb & Mike... They'll have a lot of good stuff to say! ;-)
Glad to see your exam prep is going well. :-)

I will send you Allied orders shortly.

Cheers,

Thomas

Haha... Like I said, take your time...

Just letting everyone know I've got the German orders (which I'm supposed to announce as per the rules)

No pressure, right?

Hey Gents, Excuse the blatant plug, but just while we're waiting for orders/new maps for GJS'44 D-Day... I thought you might like to check out the warships that Amaris & I have been working on, to bring them to a new Guadalcanal campaign... viewtopic.php?f=104&t=43500&p=412042#p412042

Jon, could you please repeat the new rules we've discussed a few pages ago. I think it would be good for all of us to be reminded.

FYI:

I've submitted what should hopefully be the last revision of the Allied orders for the June 11 turn to the GM.

Sorry it took so long. I had to wait for the Ultra guys at Bletchley Park to get back from vacation so they could tell me what the Germans are up to. Would have gotten the orders in sooner if you Germans hadn't added a fourth router to your Enigma Machine.

Cheers,

No it was something about running out of strudel and sauerkraut and something else about all German commanders having to wear big red clown noses. Nothing useful unfortunately.
