The link at the top of the page is now v1.3.
A propos of this scenario, I've just watched the documentary on Building the Pharaoh's Chariot on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjTIBukPNos.
At 45:49, the builder describes his conclusion that the chariot must have attacked in a "wheeling charge" - arrows at the gallop with less exposure to the charioteers and their chariot, turning swiftly away while firing their arrows. I surmise that this realistic insight, based on detailed knowledge of a Tutmosid chariot, probably cannot be duplicated in a digital gaming system.
At 49:29 there is a reference to Qadesh.

And like any near mythical event it has spawned several versions of what happened, although we have more information on this battle than from any other of that period.CATAFRACTO wrote:Qadesh!! One of those few real myths...

An interesting quote from the Talk tab of the wikipedia article on this battle:
"It was a very difficult battle for either the Egyptians and the Hittites. Both sides were used to different type of warfare and slowly defeating a much weaker enemy, town by town, until beaten into submission. Neither the Egyptians or the Hittites were used to face a well disciplined army, face to face, in one single event."
