Me too. This is why I started this theard in the first place. I mean I have won EVERY scenerio in PC with a DV on FM ececpt this one. So it is not like I have no clue what I am doing. I have tried over 10 times to get a DV on FM on the EC without ever coming close to success. I got so fustrated, I turned on Urber Units and with this enabled I got a DV on the LAST turn needed for a DV. So if the only way to get a DV on FM is to have everything die with one hit, I would say the scenerio is 'impossible' as designed.

US air power or naval forces or something is way off. In my opnion, the US should have ZERO naval forces in the game. If this was going to actually occur (I know slam me for bringing RL into a game :D ), the Germans would have had to completed been assured of complete naval superiority which means no nasty BBs running around to kill their transports. Without the naval forces present, then the map may be balanced enough to get a DV as designed.

Well if you bring RL into it, this landing would never have happened. Hitler had no interest in landing in the US, let alone the fact that after occupying entire Euorpe and the middle east germany wouldn't have been close to have any forces left to make such a giant operation, at least not that soon. it is far more likely that we would have terrorized the coast with large numbers of submarines, disrupted shipping and possibly finish contructing the America Bomber and the intercontinental V2 to attack from far away. With Jet engines it would have been possible to build Bombers being able to fly so high that it would have been impossible for the Air Force to intercept them right away.

A landing is just nonsense. The supply lines would be impossible to maintain.

But that aside, I still like the scenarios, and I think the Navy can stay, 1 or 2 more turns should do the trick just fine.

I vaguely remember that when I was playing this, I missed this DV by about 2 or 3 turns, on my first try. The general consensus is that there is not enough time to finish this scenario with a DV. However, you don't need DV on this map for anything; you don't miss out on any content if you only get a MV. If you feel so strongly about this, until there is some sort of official change, just go in the scenario editor and add 3 turns to the clock.

I continued with a MV, what else was I supposed to do. That's not the point. The point is that a scenario that makes DV impossible is buggy. There's no sense in having a victory condition that cannot be achieved.

East Coast scenario will be updated in the next patch, so that decisive victory is more viable.

And this is why you guys rock. Not only do you make a great game, but you also listen to reasonable arguments from your user base to keep improving things. Kudo's for that!

*thumbs up* Considering this was the only thing to beef about in the original campaign so far AT ALL, I think it is great that you guys revisit the scenario :-)
It's really great to see how you guys keep in contact with the community. Advantage of niche genres with a clear target audience and a loyal fanbase I guess.
Always the best to be in, both as a developer and as a player :)

On FM it's a stone cold b!tch.....

I gave up trying to get a DV...if you do get a DV it's a Pyrrhic victory, due to the amount of damge you take.
....that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain.......and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

At this point it might be wise to give the country back to the Native Americans, before they get any funny ideas :x

Maybe we can invade Antarctica next? Oswald Cobblepot can raise twenty Legions, but they are all penguins...

I don't even think the DV is so much the problem... it's about not going NUTS when your favorite core units get killed before they get ashore!

I had more losses in this scenario and lost veteran units, more than in the entire scenarios before together.

I am about to try this scenario again, but now you scared me... lol. :D

I was sure it was updated long ago (in 1.11 or 1.12), but looking at the files now, it was not. Sorry. Too late to include in 1.13, but the next patch will have it. In the meantime here is the updated version we'll use (attached).
