Approval for game purchase ?

So I have to wait up to 12 hours to see if I'm approved for a purchase...What is this ?

From what I've read from other users which have happened the same thing, usually you don't have to wait for so long.
I still don't know why Plimus do this sometimes.

Sorry you are having problems. I think this is related to PayPal as they sometimes take time to process the payments and clear it but if you give us your order details we wil look in to it. Please mail them to info@slitherine.co.uk with a description of the problem.

I had the same problem.

"Thank you for submitting your order for Panzer Corps: Grand Campaign 45 East-PC Download using Plimus. Your order is currently being reviewed by our staff for quality purposes, this process is usually completed within a few minutes, however, please allow up to 12 hours to hear back from us.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any question about your order or wish to leave us a comment, please click on the following link:...." [link deleted].

However, as I left a comment, I received a email 42 mins after making the purchase / payment. While I may have had a couple of previous problems downloading 2-3 on-line purchases from Slitherine using the Plimus system. Which I add, were sorted out by Iain McNeil who suggested that I use a free download accelerator called DAP (many thanks to Iain as I have not had any more problems until tonight).

As a result all gamers purchasing using the Plimus on-line payment system and paying by paypal should be pre-warned about the possible delay up to 12 hours before the making the purchase and not after making a payment.

I'm sorry you are having problems. Has it gone through yet?

Sometimes they hold orders back that have had previous refunds against them - could this be the issue? They ask us to manually approve the orders.

I can't see anything in the system at the moment. It could be a PayPal issue but there is no way for us to know in advance if PayPal are going to do security checks or hold back and ask us for manual approval.

Hi Iain,

Yes, the email that I received was the ''Thank you for your purchase of: (1) - Panzer Corps: Grand Campaign 45 East - PC Download..." and I was able to download the 1945 Campaign by clicking on the attached link. I apologise if I appeared to be a annoyed, as I was, it was the first time that has happened.

Paypal informed me by email at 1:50am that the payment had been made, while Plimus thanked me "for submitting your order for Panzer Corps" at 1:50am and advised that "Your order is currently being reviewed by our staff for quality purposes, this process is usually completed within a few minutes, however, please allow up to 12 hours to hear back from us. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any question about your order or wish to leave us a comment, please click on the following link..."

Well yes, I had a comment and clicked on the link, it opened a Plimus page which displays the invoice details: "The order was placed on 25 May 2012.
Payment method: PayPal [Instant] Verified account, Transaction id ......"

That line annoyed me, a instant [payment] from a verified account. Anyway the world has not stopped and my Panzer Corp 1945 DLC appeared to install ok. It will teach me not to purchase anything at 2:00am in the morning after a 4-5hour gaming session. All the best :)

first post.....I tried buying last night and nothing..no emails....I used pay pal....everything is fine on that end...I haven't got an email to download.....help!!!!! I understand...will be patient....btw ....when looking for order on Plimus....doesn't ask about Pay Pal....so can't find the order...that's about it

Sorry you are having problems. Can you mail what iso you have so info@slitherine.co.uk and we'll investigate but the team are not in the office until Monday unfortunately. If you wanted to try purchasing again and ended up with two purchases we would refund the extra one - that might get you going over the weekend if you wanted to do that.

Apparently you are still having issues with PayPal.

20 minutes ago I attempted to purchase the game Panzer Corps (boxed edition) from the website using PayPal to complete the purchase. After completing the purchase I was returned a message that stated "Your purchase could not be completed at this time. Please try again later". However, my PayPal account has been debited the purchase amount of $46.02. I also was suppose get a free immediate download but no page ever directed me to complete that process.

Please advise. I'm not happy right now. :(

Sorry you are having problems. If you have any issues please mail info@slitherine.co.uk with the details of your order and we'll get you sorted out ASAP. We gets thousands of orders and a occasionally a few do have issues but its a very very small %.

I've already mailed all the information that I had regarding this order to that address last night. The message was titled "Purchasing Question". Unfortunitely, I never received any kind of order or transaction number so basically what I wrote in the previous post is all the information I can supply.

Frankly, I'm not really interested in the thousand of other orders. Just this one. At this point, I've paid my purchase price and have nothing to show for it. I think you can understand my frustration. I messaged the eMail address you indicated above immiedtaely after this happened and have received no response 14 hours later.

I understand the frustration and have chased up tech support personally to find out why you have not had a reply yet but unfortunately they are closed for the day. As soon as I find out what the issue was I will get back to you. Once again apologies for the delay in processing your order.

Did you not get a PayPal transaction ID. Without this its almost impossible for us to locate an order in the system but we'll see what we can do. The problem is PayPal has not passed your order through to Plimus (our payment provider) and so we can't look it up in our system as the order never arrived. We have to try and locate it in the PayPal system and work out why it didn't come through.

I attached the entire original PayPal receipt eMail when I sent my information to the address you mentioned above. If you can find my original eMail message, you'll know what I know.
