A small point concerning your campaign flowchart. As it is now, a loss in Westerplatte means the end of the campaign, not as you display your flowchart.
Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
That's right, everybody gets the update later this evening. The version you have does not allow a loss path from Westerplatte to Warsaw and Dunkirk to France. It was a suggestion by HQ4L today.produit wrote:A small point concerning your campaign flowchart. EDIT: UPDATE sent!

Finished the Sweden map. Really nice one. I really liked that you placed railways, to move units rapidly on this huge map.
Thanks for the work.

Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
It is actually thanks to 4key (and his custom efile) and the DLC's that i learned to appreciate the value of railtransport.produit wrote:Finished the Sweden map. Really nice one. I really liked that you placed railways, to move units rapidly on this huge map.

In two missions i placed an armoured train as part of the core and it is really a pitty that the vanilla efile does not allow them to be purchased.

This mod allows to buy armored train, strongpoints and ships: viewtopic.php?p=284259nikivdd wrote: In two missions i placed an armoured train as part of the core and it is really a pitty that the vanilla efile does not allow them to be purchased.

Yes thanks, i know. But I construct GTPG with the vanilla efile and thus making it easy for everyone that it can be used with their (personal) custom efile.HQ4L wrote:This mod allows to buy armored train, strongpoints and ships: viewtopic.php?p=284259nikivdd wrote: In two missions i placed an armoured train as part of the core and it is really a pitty that the vanilla efile does not allow them to be purchased.

A small remark on the Belgian map. At location 16/2, you put a tank into water...
Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
Thanks. There shouldn't be any water there, probably somehow after i regenerated the tiles after placing the railroads.produit wrote:A small remark on the Belgian map. At location 16/2, you put a tank into water...

Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
Played the France map for the first time. If I remember well, it is the old PG map. On this map, you added quite a lot of aircraft, putting even a lot of high quality aircrafts. Moreover, on the original PG I think there was 1-2 additional Me109. You added also quite a lot of tanks. As a result, the map become quite difficult. Capturing all VH takes quite a lot of time.
A really "bad" point is that most of the southern city are empty of units. I would add fixed infantry units in all city and increase the number of turn by 2-3 to let the player take those city. It will change the feeling that nearly all enemy units are killed when you take Paris and that the rest is just moving around an capturing VH. Moreover, if I read well, for the MV, you have to capture all objectives. If it is the case, the difference between MV and DV is really small: keeping the train intact to put it into Paris...
Finally, thank you to have added railroads. They are really useful on this huge map.

The intention was to make it easy once you break through the British-French "Gothic" line. The lack of enemy units passed that point is to reinact the lack of reinforcements, defaitism and a failing command structure.
As you said, the railroads do pay off. All maps got them, with the exception of Crete.
But as you suggest, I will add a few aux planes and place a few infantry in the southern cities and perhaps a piece of capturable equipment?

Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
I'm played till Belgium map and have no problems yet.
I just was wondering in first scenario when i had to pick up my units and the map was so small that i thought something is wrong with my screen definition.
But in the first "real" scenario the size was fine again.
Like always great work!

Perhaps, but I don't think that the german troops entered the cities on trains, as you can make it now... The idea would be to put at minimum a "garrison" in each city. It can remain reduced, such as a simple infantry with a strenght of 5. With this solution, you will need to take the city with troops and not with trains...HQ4L wrote: In reality this was the case!

Finished norway today! I tried out Narvik yesterday and i had serious problems to solve this map. Anybody tried this map?
I think its to hard, maybe more slots or less airforce is a good idea to make the map easier.
Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
@Produit: which capturable unit do you suggest for the France map?
@HQ4L: which 5 units do you suggest as reinforcements for the Narvik map?
I hope to implement all the changes that have been suggested this evening.

Not units, deployment slots!
The problem is you only have 20 slots.
You need at least 2 strategic bombers. In consequence you need at least 2 fighters if you dont want to loose them. So you have 16 slots left for attacking heavy entreched british forces and strongpoints.
Maybe with 25 deployment slots you have more options to gain a victory.

Changes implemented:
Madrid: maxturn -1, Danzig: maxturn -2, Westerplatte: added a Ju87A, Warsaw: maxturns -2, Narvik: slots from 20 to 25, France: french garissons added, german aux planes added, capturable unit added (CharB1 if that's ok for Produit).

The 1939-40-41-42 flowchart is complete.

The problem is that you cannot really choose from a lot of units, as it must be a french one. Is there something worth giving outside of the Char B1 Bis ? I am not at home and thus cannot check the unit list...nikivdd wrote:@Produit: which capturable unit do you suggest for the France map?
Re: GTPG Grand Campaign (GTPG7/ GC v0.1/DL mirrors added)
I don't understand the inclusion of Dieppe as an integral component of the '42 campaign. There's no way your core from the Stalingrad scenario would have been able to participate in both scenarios. Also, Dieppe was not a major battle nor was it fought w/ the types of front line units you'd be bringing from the Eastern Front. In addition, it's highly unlikely those same units who'd just been shipped w/ major time and expense across the continent to fight at Dieppe would suddenly find themselves sent back to Stalingrad to liberate the 6th army. In sum, the inclusion of Dieppe, while an interesting idea, doesn't make much sense, particularly in its current status as a linchpin scenario between two interconnected Eastern Front battles.
