lack of control of cursor (stutter)

As I play some ( not all) scenarios I lose control of the cursor. I move the mouse and the cursor will move but very jumpy, it seems to happen as the game progresses.The HD does not whirl up during the problem. I have used MSCONFIG to stop almost all of the start up programs. If I can get the cursor on the unit and move it the screen will jump from the spot I want the unit to move and back to the original position over and over. An example of scenarios I can play is Along the road....can't play River Line.

Thanks for that info. Looking at the specs, the video card is an integrated part, and so it might have some issues if you are running the game at the same resolution as your main screen (1900). If you reduce the game resolution you should see an improvement in the performance. I think that the text rendering may have something to do with it - older nVidia cards had some driver issues too which didn't help, so it could be a number of factors. But reducing the resolution should solve the issue.

Hope so! You might be able to sneak it up a little - you will need to experiment. I would also suggest turning off shadows, if you have not already. This could improve performance considerably.

Problems returned...so I have reset my video card back to original specs...seems to have worked.

I'm not sure what to suggest. The next update includes a reworked text rendering system which should help out on any cards which handle dynamic textures poorly, often integrated parts.

Could it be overheating? Try adding

FPSLIMIT 30

to the USER.TXT file, and see if that helps at all.

Having to keep all the versions in sync makes updates a much more significant undertaking than they used to be unfortunately . I am hoping to put out a beta version next week sometime, so a guess would be the update would be available in about 3 weeks. I want to get some decent beta testing as there are a couple of fairly cool new features...
