DLC'39, 1st Scenario, 'Strange Clearing' Hex

What is the purpose of this tile? I managed to get a pzkw IA on it, but nothing happened...after several turns. I was thinking maybe I would receive a captured unit? While on the subject, are these strange hexes along with units to be found on every map?

This hex has been reported earlier:
It's a remnant of scenario design. Maybe there was ONCE something there, but there isn't anything there anymore. Except for the strange name.
It's just a strange clearing in the forest now.

There are some units hidden, but I don't recall any capturable units in the 1939 DLC before Warsaw (Polish Artillery pieces).
Not every map has hidden units to be captured, while a few have even 2-3.

Hint: Usually it's a "THICK SWAMP/FOREST" hex. But not always, sometimes capturing a city spawns a unit on a nearby clear hex.
This is mostly true for the 1941 DLC, many nice KV tanks are acquired this way.

Thanks for all the helpful info Longasc! I forgot to ask as well, do you need a unit beside/on the hex to obtain a captured unit or can you simply get them via recon? ie having a fighter above the tile? Thanks again!
