question about the upcoming patch

greetings, i was thinking and want to ask if the patch will be or not compatible with previous saved games and mods, it is something that all we maybe want to know, it is not a big issue given that as said patch will be available trough july and it is not much time to wait, i want mean about file types, scenario and data files as i have a mod with much things changed, aside i can test before install the patch if and what files are changed from 1.0, only matters if i do want to work more or wait to the scenario editor if previous work will be to be redone, thanks in advance,
