Game gets black screen when advancing from Stalingrad

I had a game were I had started Stalingrad. I finished with everything but the Caucus and got a loss anyway. I figured it was because of the patch, but would go on to Kursk. All I got was a blank (black) screen and music. So I started over with Moscow, won a marginal, then went to Stalingrad. The game ended abruptly on turn 20 with a marginal victory as I was clearing, but hadn't finished. I guess the computer surrendered. Again I go to Kursk, get the intro messages and when I click ok to start the deployment, blank screen while the music plays on. Doesn't matter how long I wait. Whether I alt-tab or start from the save of last allied turn. Don't tell me I have to start the whole campaign over!

If you started a campaign before the update, and in the middle of it you update Panzer Corps, that might be the cause if issue.
Anyway I'll report back this to Iain.

I achieved a decisive victory in the Stalingrad scenario. I got to the dialog boxes for the Kursk scenario, but once I clicked on proceed, the game went to main Panzer Corps menu and froze. I updated to 1.01 in the middle of the campaign.

This issues with the campaign, after updating, were already reported to the devs.

We have found and fixed the problem. We'll be rolling out the fix for a few people to test ASAP and then building a new patch.

Full patch will be available shortly, and in the mean time, you can download updated EXE file from http://www.slitherine.com/files/panzer_ ... rCorps.zip and place it in the game folder (by default %Program Files%\Slitherine\Panzer Corps). The version of the game (shown on the main menu screen) will change to 1.02, and you should be able to continue your campaign normally. Please post here if you experience any problems with this update. Thanks.

i have a related problem on stalingrad- i have updated to 1.01 but after turn 20 of 28 i am thrown straight to a marginal victory every time although i have one objective city remaining to take. iam then sent to the kursk introduction and then the screen goes black. i've tried that temporary patch you have given but that doesnt work either

Just to make sure, with the temporary patch installed, you see version 1.02 on the main menu screen (at the bottom)?

If yes, could you please send me a saved game before the end of Stalingrad scenario to rudankort@rsdn.ru? I'll try to figure out what's wrong there. Thanks!

Excellent - just had this problem, came here, got the fix and all now sorted!

And I would say that this is the first scenario in the campaign where you may not go the full (28?) turns as a decisive victory needs to be done within 10 turns, so once you go past turn 18? and you capture all the marginal targets it stops as you have already missed the decisive victory.
