VERSION 2 UPDATE ?

Post by Delbruck »

I think there are a few of us who are not version 2 beta testers.

Any chance of getting an update of the proposed changes?

The people in the beta test are restricted from sharing details.

From what I hear, there are a lot of spot clarifications, make rules clearer, attempts to simplify and such.
Then the authors are experimenting with evolutionary changes not totally new systems.

But I remember hearing people talking about what was being considered in the various updates to the old DBA and DBM rules and then the rumors didn't happen. So short of hearing from RBS or someone that "____" is certain I wouldn't put excessive stock in any specific change yet.

I understand there is an NDA, but we have a complete lack even of official news, and that's kind of perplexing.

I hear you. But I think part of the problem is their isn't "official" news at this point. For instance there was a notion that was floated that would have been quite revolutionary. Then it was figured out to be a disaster. So had official news come out early it would have been wrong.

I think it is true that the authors need a good bit better explanations to people about things. But alas their philosophy seems closer to the "keep one's mouth shut as opposed to speaking and removing all doubt of stupidity."
