A clarification of the rules for the new members.... and the older members that may have forgotten

Extract from the rules....
To fight an opponent you make a DoW - often done in the forum but best to PM the challenge as not everyone reads the thread every day.
Both sides raise an army and the defending side selects which of his areas he will meet the invasion in (let me know this please).

The bit in bold is the key bit - it is the defender that selects where the battle will be.

New Englandia seems to have been 'over-invaded' so I think we need to wait for PG to return to straighten this out. How come I'm the only one being invaded by at least 8 of you?

I kind of wanted to hang around the the Lost World for a little while.......

So Peter will need to know the following details of Rhomes battles -

Pantherboy has just won a battle in Amazon (but as he's just become Immortal so do I get it back?)
Batesmotel have just conquered Lesbos (after 3 battles)
Amaz-ed is currently fighting for my capital Kretti
and
davidtugnand is currently fighting for my remaining territory Alsatia

And Morbio is patiently waiting to attack wherever I have left!

One other question for Peter or any of you old hands - Is the Declaration of War and an (allied) army entering the Delian confederation at their invitation - to do battle with Kappadokians already there valid?

If i understand your question , no. Kappodokia invaded Delios correct? The only time an ally can come to aid is if a city is under siege. so after the ist battle, say Delios loses, he can with draw into a city (if he has one in the territory he is defending) h ecan then call for an ally to break the sige. If the ally has a means of travelling to his ally , the ally army will fight the besieger....

But first it has to arrive - Peter decides when it does so. The city might fall before it gets there - which is what happened when a Kappadokian army attempted to march to the relief of Hidde's city.

But first it has to arrive - Peter decides when it does so. The city might fall before it gets there - which is what happened when a Kappadokian army attempted to march to the relief of Hidde's city.

Thanks RBS and to Gray Mouser too. The Delian armies are indeed locked up in their city and have called upon their faithful Irish allies for help.
The forces of Tuam have set off - I have PM'd Peter to let me know if and when they arrive. Given our track record in trying to find Englandia (which apparently is just next door to Tuam) the Kappadokians are only in danger of dying of old age.

Challengers: Please ensure all challenges are posted in this thread and I suggest you PM your opponent to ensure he sees the challenge.

Defenders: Please acknowledge the challenge in this thread (use the quote button) and state which province you are defending. I'd also appreciate it if you could PM me to be sure I've seen it. I will use this thread and the PMs I receive to update the map.

At present I'm aware of a few battles that are about to start, I know which countries are involved, but I don't know yet where these will be fought, so I can't update the map. I have a feeling there are quite a few battles going on that I know nothing about too!

It is in all our interests to ensure that the map is as accurate as possible. I'll try to post updates as often as I can, with a daily update being my minimum target.

I'll post the latest version of the map in a few minutes, please could you check it to see if it correct from your country's perspective. Please check;
* Is the capital correct (italics)
* Are all the provinces listed? Are they spelt correctly?
* Are the provinces with cities identified correctly? (* in province)
* Are all current battles being shown?
* Is there anything else not correct?

Your help in this is very much appreciated.

Mine (24) are all correct thanks - result of battle 1 in Muck posted.
One question :-
I was under the impression that CharlieChap was under invasion from Kappadokia and had retired to his city - it will be awfully dispiriting for my lads, (currently marching to the Deelian Confederation on their invitation) if there is no one to have a bit of a barney with when they get there! I understand it is Mitylene under attack.

I was under the impression that CharlieChap was under invasion from Kappadokia and had retired to his city - it will be awfully dispiriting for my lads, (currently marching to the Deelian Confederation on their invitation) if there is no one to have a bit of a barney with when they get there! I understand it is Mitylene under attack.

RBS or CharlieChap: Please can you confirm that there is a battle/siege at Mytilene?
