Fix: RoR D.A.G armies no longer loading with SoA

Post by andersm73 »

Since downloading the latest patch and SoA I can no longer load my previously saved RoR armies, is their something I can do to retrieve these or am I going to have to redo all the lists? (The D.A.G still lists the armies but just won't load them)

cheers

I have the same problem. I select a RoR army, click "Load", and nothing happens. Since I've got about 20 armies and don't want to spend all the time necessary to recreate them, this is rather irritating.

Its a bug but I was given a solution that works. Go to the following folders - Documents, Slitherine, FieldofGlory Armies. In the latter you will find your saved armies and two new folders, Rise of Rome and Storm of Arrows. Simply cut your saved armies and paste them to the Rise of Rome folder amd when you reload the game they will be accessible.

This is caused by FOG creating 2 new folders in your FiledOfGlory Armies folder. To resolve this you simply find your Slitherine folder in your documents folder then open the FieldOf Glory Armies folder open it and there you will see 2 folders (Rise of Rome and Storm of Arrows) plus all your previously saved games. If you want to play ROR DAG armies against SOA armies in single player mode against the AI you can simply copy the ROR armies you made into the SOA folder as well as their original folder. I am assuming that you are using windows 7 in this, as under other windows versions your folders may be saved differently.

I've done that, hopefully it works. Sure seems like this would be a good idea to sticky unless the mods want to repeat this over and over again...
