I live about 40 miles south of Miami Playa so if you're wanting to borrow an army and/or want a lift just let me know. I can drive up early on Saturday morning and return Sunday afternoon if you want to keep brownie point expenditure to a minimum.stenic wrote:This sounds interesting; we'll be in Miami Playa either late July or early August, if July I could swing it that I attend... I have just spent 12 days looking after the kids on my own whilst my wife is in Tenerife with her Mum!!

Many thanks to Jose Louis and the Montmelo gang for putting up with me at the weekend. I had a great time despite my dire performance and am trying to negotiate next year's holiday with my wife already.
I got 3 losing draws and a good win so not really in with a shout. A good job too really, they don't mess about with trophies there, first place took home a longsword with scabbard, Ryanair would have had a field day on the extra baggage on that, let alone trying to explain to customs I had no plans of sword inspired violence. I did manage to bring home though the T-shirt and some chorizo from the raffle! Thanks to Ivan, Enrique, Vicenc and Joaquin for the games.
Big thanks to Juilan Lopez too for the army loan and lift there and back.
The al-fresco luncheon was great (even if we did have to add lemonade to the wine
) and at the evening meal it was fun to sit and chew the wargames and football fat.
Nice idea to get 3 games on the Saturday then just one on Sunday and home in time for afternoon swim in the pool.
Managed to have a good chat with Dermot Quigley of Campaign Game miniatures too.
