Unmovable Units

Post by Zonso »

I got my opponents turn but after opening it I was unable to move any troops at all. I tried closing and reopening, minimizing but all to no avail. I ended up resigning. Anyone else experience this? First time for me and I have played a lot of mp games now.

If you have this problem can you let us know before you resign - we can grab the game and try and fix it much more easily if we can repeat it. Thanks!

I seem to have a similar problem with a game I am currently playing. It is now my turn but the replay of the last turn only showed my move and nothing by my opponent. My units now appear to be able to engage in combat but not to be movable. My opponent had said he would be traveling on business until Friday so I wasn't even expecting to see it being my move before then. This is in the Carrhae scenario versus MikeK. Let me know if there is additional information you need.

Is it repeatable. If you exit the game and retry does it still happen?

Yes, same exact behavior with closing and re-opening the game and with exiting FoG altogether, restarting it and loading the game agains. Seems thoroughly stuck in this mode.

One thing I haven't tried is doing combat again and then ending my turn since that would seem to ruin the game for further play but I can try that if you think it would be helpful for debugging it.

Can you tell me the exact game so we can look it up. E.g. opponent, last moved date etc.

Scenario is Carrhae.
Opponent is MikeK.
Last update time listed in my multi-player display is 28-JAN-2010 9:07 am (14:07 GMT). Thats when I last looked at it. I think my last move was on Tuesday. I don't know if MikeK made a move since then.
