Cypsela - I 'fail' when I've won? (Mac)

I can't seem to get past Ambush at Cypsela! Three times I've appeared to rout the oppostition within the required time yet the game ticks out the time and tells me I've failed. Am I doing something wrong, missing something? Any suggestions please?

Oh, is this the one where there's an enemy leader behind the woods, near the back edge of the map?

If we are talking about the same scenario, then most people have the same problem, because they don't see the leader. He's sort of back there by himself

Why don't you go have a careful look, and see if he's there, eh?
