Chris Townsend's Italian (Ghibeline) 1200 squeezed out a victory over Kroche's Serbian 1040 by a score of 63 to 54.

Perhaps there was something cosmic that favoured the Emperor's allies on both side of the mirror.

Two results

Rosedelio (Low Countries) defeats Kroche (Italian) 42-12

The Low Countries spears absorbed most of the crossbow fire as they approached the Italian position. With their own crossbow support, they were able to win against the Italian spears.

Rosedelio (Ghaznavids) defeats Chris Townsend (Nubians) 43-8

After some maneuvering, the Ghaznavids were able to make an assault of massed archers and Dailami foot against the Nubian center of raw spears, before the horse archers charged into the Nubian archers behind.

Difficult battles from both sides with primarily cavalry armies on a very hilly map.

nyczar and I drew in a vicious tie with me scoring slightly higher 65-60. I was the Timurids against the Alans.

Rosedelio (Italian) defeats Kroche (Low Countries) 60-48

The Italians took some hills to shoot at the Low Countries spears. The wide position meant the Italian left slowly collapsed while the center and right won their battles. The loss of the Low Countries standard wagon become the deciding factor in the end.

Nijis and DIVM had a tie 61-61 in the mirror match.

Nijis (Rajput) defeats Hari72 (Timurid) 41-3.

Just as in the mirror match, the all-horse archer Timurid force had no troops that would stand up to Rajput charges, and the Indians were able to corral their opponents into areas where they could not evade.

[DIVM]

Div B:

DIVM (Berber Hafsid) wins over nyczar (Aragonese): 52-26

Great battle where the Berber flank was just a tad faster to overcome the flank. It could've gone easily the other way around. Thanks for the battle to my opponent.

Mirror battle being a mutual butchery still in process.

Mongols V Rus where the Rus surrendered.

Two tough gamees with enormous volumes of bowfire. Thanks for the games GeneralKostas

Div B:

DIVM (Aragonese) wins over nyczar (Berber Hafsid): 60-47

Very violent battle with many twists. Berber cavalry had a first charge than almost completely destroys the Aragonese flank. The opposite flank of cavalry from the Aragonese side rode across the battlefield lines to counterattack at the Berber cavalry; while the infantry faced each other in a bloodbath.

Good games, General Kostas did face a very lucky group of Austrian dice rollers in the mirror game and that one probably should have gone his way....but alas the gods of war are cruel.
