order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'

hi,
I would appreciate some advice with regards to 'Resource Points'......How they work and how to increase them...

I am currently on the 'Iwo Jima' scenario. I have a lot of 'command points' but not enough 'Resource points'

Resource Points are acquired every turn at a set amount as defined in the scenario. This quantity can be seen on the Objective screen. There may also be additional rewards of RPs for completing objectives in some scenarios. During a campaign you may be given extra RP's at the start of a scenario. Finally, you can gain a very small amount by disbanding a unit.

Except as mentioned above, there is no way to increase your total. Unlike Panzer General or Panzer Corp, you do not gain RPs by capturing cities. Managing the RPs you are given is part of the game.

There a also some specialisations for some factions which allow to gain a small amount under certain circumstances. The medic first aid specialisation for the US and forced labour for germans and sowjets.
