But it's not a problem, everyone can change these scenarios to suit their own taste. The groundwork has been done, old units converted into new modern units and another nation installed to replace the German one. This can be continued or changed at will by anyone who has the time and inclination.

Here I show a short tutorial on how to convert a World War 2 scenario from Panzer Corps into a modern theme for the mod Modern Conflicts.

First I open the scenario editor of Modern Conflicts and click on the tab “File” in the upper left corner and then “Open”.
Under C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Panzer Corps\Data I click on the scenario “USA West Coast” which I want to edit.

After the editor has loaded the scenario, it looks like the picture.

I repeat the same with the editor of the original Panzer Corps to have an approximate comparison of the weapons I want to deploy.

Next, I click on the “Edit” tab and “Scenario parameters”, because I want to change the year from 1945 to 2020.

Then I click on the “Nations” tab because I also want to change these.
I set Germany to neutral and USA to Axis. I set Russia to allied.

Now I'm going to edit the victory conditions because they also need to be changed.
For scenario conditions, simply change them under edit as shown in the picture.
The conditions for the campaign can be left as they are.

Now I set up the units.
Here I use the scenario editor from the original Panzer Corps to look at the units so that I don't put any infantry in the place of a tank, for example.

I decide on an M1A2SEP, click on it in the unit selection and then click twice or three times with the left mouse button on the position of the “unknown unit” on the map. Anyone can place units wherever they like.
Einheitaufstellen.png

Now I have to assign the side to the unit. Click the left mouse button plus Shift and the window for setting this unit appears. I set this and all the others in the USA to Axis.

The units of the opposing side must also be worked on. I take the Russian T64 for the German IIIN medium tank. Here, too, everyone can choose a different war machine.

For the Russian T64, however, the nation on the side must also be changed. From Germany to Russia. And from Axis to Allies.

I repeat all the steps for each individual unit.

I repeat all the steps for each individual unit.

Infantry and artillery usually have transport. I select a BTR-80M in the unit selection and then click on the corresponding unit on the map...done the same with artillery. I select a suitable transport for the artillery.(Truck)
Transport.png
Transport.png (266.8 KiB) Viewed 1102 times
It is important that all transporters are replaced, otherwise the game may crash.
I'm still replacing the German flags in the cities with Russian ones.
Finally, I change the names, prestige, side that attacks first, etc. in the "Factions" window.
Fraktion.png
Fraktion.png (100.11 KiB) Viewed 1102 times
I'll now save the finished scenario as C:\Users\name\Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Scenario.

If I didn't think of something or forgot something, I'll do it here and correct it or add it.
I hope I was able to explain the steps in a somewhat understandable way. However, if you don't have much experience with the scenario editor, it would be easier to create your own scenario to practice there.

I don't understand anything about the map editor but very interesting ))))) Toby my friend have you played this addon Soviet Corps or at least scenarios from it ? ) There is about the rebellion of Chechens near the city of Grozny ( the capital of the unrecognised republic of Ichkeria ) ) and on this map you can probably make a more modern scenario about the war in Chechnya 1994-2002 )
https://thechechenpress.com/news/12894- ... vojna.html
Image
Also there is a map called Operation Northern Fox there you can replace the Finns and Germans of 1941 with Finns and Germans of 2022 ) )))

The instructions are for those who want to try to redesign an old scenario into a modern theme themselves but are not really familiar with the operation of the editor. I also started once and there are still a few things I don't know about the editor, they may always remain a mystery to me. :?: :D

Nevertheless, it is probably easier to create a scenario yourself at the beginning than to change an existing one.

A wonderful adaptation of this map for modern times ) Fleet, aviation, tanks and universal soldiers did not help the brave Yanks ) It's a pity that there are no units of Japan and two Koreas with China then we could still enjoy the battle at sea )))) And a couple of times even the weather has covered us with thermonuclear winter ))))The rest is on the screenshots if anyone is interested ))
