Slitherine/Matrix is home to wargamers from around the world. Here we can find games and players that love realistic, hardcore strategy games, thank you for that.

Now on to the subject...

Wish there was a game just like commandos but done with attention to detail and realistic combat simulation.
Ofc there is arma, but that's 3rd/fps.
I am thinking turned based/real time with pause type of game, where we can sit and plan our next move in single player or pbem ++ multiplayer, coop more than pvp.
We would have a team of 4,5 people with different equipment: demolition, sniper, rogue type with silencer...
You would have different tactical missions with an xcom grand strategy type war room.

Also it would be cool if when you search for games/players it's not only one tactical mission but more of a campaign that you can play over a longer period of time like Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
You would have a player profile that would record your exp in different playstyles. So when someone is making a team you would be able to show your speciality... good with a knife, expert with explosives.
What I mean, you would need to be a really good player with a lots of exp and in game knowledge to finish hard missions.
Think dark souls for tactical/strategy gamers.

And ofc there are gadgets... Digital watch with green light... check; combat knife that you hold in your teeth while sneaking... check; night vision goggles... check; green face paint... check; backpack with all the cool stuff, rope, compass and map... check hehe.

Time period ww2 or 80s movies, 1999... Maybe cyber punk, but not crazy new stuff for us, we are G.I. Joe type, government is still using old stuff.

Missions map type... Nuclear sub, jungle, behind enemies lines...
Missions map is procedurally generated every time, so to keep replayability.
There are different ways to finish the mission, different ways to enter an area, depends on your team comp what way you take, that's why could be important to build balanced team.
Divinity and Baldur's gate really have great map design with a lot of exploration and verticality in a small area.
No cartoon graphics, no stupid one liners. Jagged alliance 3 looks like it's made for a 3 year old in my opinion.
Editor where we can recreate real world spec/ black ops.

In game wiki with real world spec ops teams, missions from ww2 and real world weapons and tactics info. Just a really well made, realistic squad based, hardcore, teamwork oriented, coop strategy game.

There is only your team and you in a hostile territory, no help to come and save you if something goes wrong.
Who knows how many terrorist attacks where stopped, how many regional or world wars avoided, cuz of the top secret work and sacrifice of the brave few, who knows how many innocent lives where saved... hence the name...
"PAIN UNKNOWN" heheh or something like that.

With wargames like war in the east, we get to be generals. With this one we get to be G.I Joe, with depth and quality of Gary Grigsby's games.

I don't know how to make games, this is just something I would love to play.
I could maybe be the only one in the world that would love to play this game tho hehe.
