order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
hi,
I would appreciate some advice with regards to 'Resource Points'......How they work and how to increase them...
I am currently on the 'Iwo Jima' scenario. I have a lot of 'command points' but not enough 'Resource points'
thank you

Re: order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
Resources are often limited in scenarios, I never do elite replacement except for small units such as infantry units where the difference between normal and elite replacement is negligible.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to moderate the replacement for one unit, the game calculates the resource cost for a maximum replacement.
Certain secondary objectives or specializations allow to gain resources.

Re: order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
is there a way to collect Resource Points for units you no longer need?
Re: order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
You get few RP back for disbanding, but not much. This is intended to make decisions about core compositions matter.
edit: IIRC you get the full RP back if you just purchased the unit, and disband while still in the pre-battle deployment stage. Later it's as said above.

I'm starting Panzerkrieg and have so many units I've imported that I need more points to field the experienced units. Waffen SS question. are you ever awarded more slots or always stuck with only 6?
Re: order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
Check the spec screen, there's another spec coming for extra slots (plus a third in the last DLC of the German trilogy).

Re: order of battle WW2 'Resource Points'
I usually do elite replacment for infantry, tanks, tank destroyers, fighters and tactial bombers until they get to 3 stars.
After the went over 3 stars it's just to expenside and not worth it.
When you move a unit and then send replacement after movment only 2 repakcments are send. So a unit that is down to lets say 5 you can move it in one round and send 2 veteran replacment, bring it back to full strength the next round with the non veteran replacments.
The pilot rotation is a spec that helps alot here.
Especially during the early parts of Panzerkrieg I was critically low on points.
Especially for the Waffen SS units.
I kinder solved that problem by letting them sit out Kharkov, approach to Stalingrad and the Caucassus mission.
It put some more strain on the Army units though especially during Kharkov.

Well it is, but it is a bit tricky.terminator wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 7:57 am Unfortunately, it is not possible to moderate the replacement for one unit, the game calculates the resource cost for a maximum replacement.
