We have the first results in from hotseat alpha testing of BJRmodVer2.00. The winter in Europe certainly impact offensive operations. We're looking at playing two strategies, Blitzkrieg and Stizkrieg. The Blitzkrieg strategy is where the Germans push through and attack Holland and Belgium during the winter. Stizkrieg is were they wait until after winter before attacking the Low Countries.

The first stats are in for BJR Mod ver 2.00a3. This is our first alpha release that has all the house rules integrated into the game engine. It also allows for transport of garrisons. The beauty of this release is that anything goes. That is, no more house rules to follow. If the CEaW game engine allows you to do it then you can do it.

Glen (Axis) vs Ray (Allies).
He's an observation that I've just made from the below stats. With respect to the fall of France the changes from BJRmodVer1.05 to BJRmodVerv2.00 have had the desired impact. The German to UK repair PP stat is the same (363 PPs) between v1.05 and v2.00. However; France (on average) lasts a full two months longer (4/20/40 vs. 6/23/40). Note that the historical surrender date from France was 6/25/1940. To me this is amazing that the average fall date from 22 games (BJRmodVer2.00) is within 2-days of the actual surrender date. And, we've achieved this 2-month slip, and more historical, fall date for France without having to inflict more losses (on average) on the Germans.
