Thanks for the responses. I must not have been clear about the elephants, when I said in 4s, I meant 2 BGs of 2 bases side-by-side, to try to avoid overlaps, so 4 bases together, but as part of 2 BGs. :? Also take the point about the Ghazi MF. I could happily drop them from List 2 (as I don't have t...

Ghaznavid 1000pt
I'm putting together some 1000 point army ideas for a themed doubles tournament at my club that covers 'Dark Ages' 500 - 1000 AD armies, and have thought Ghaznavids could be fun to run. I've come up with 2 lists so far that might work, but would appreciate any input that people might have. Ghaznavid...

Figures for Hanseatic League??
Any suggestions for the best range of figures for putting together a Hanseatic League army in 15mm from the Medieval German City Leagues list in Lost Scrolls? Also, for those FoG:R types out there. If it was a sufficiently late version of the army, would you think this might morph into a future FoG:...

Having just finished painting my first army of any gaming variety, I was advised to try Games Workshop's Citadel Washes. FWIW I used their 'Devlin Mud' as an overall wash on virtually all of the figures and found it did an amazing job of bringing up the highlighting and shadows and making an huge di...

I'm also looking at getting figures for an Arab army. Seems that with a few extra options you can get something that can be morphed into various Arab armies within reason and across time periods and geography. Have been tossing up between Legio Heroica too, but also Khurasan. Like the look of them b...

Thanks for the feedback. :) I had, rather naively from the look of it  , thought that the IC and FC would give me more control over a larger area. If I downgrade to TCs and cut some Close Fighters, I will definitely be able to add more chariots (16 or 20) more Sea People and an extra BG of LF....

New Kingdom Egyptians
Hi, I’m just getting into FoG and am currently putting together New Kingdom Egyptians as my first army. I’m after some advice/comments on the balance of a 900 point army that must run 4 generals for a doubles tournament that is themed for the StE book. Am hoping to get a few practice runs in with it...
