Is there anybody here who isn't the second &*&*^ing coming of Erwin Rommel? In all the games I am playing, every time I get a new turn, I have 30% fewer units, and no idea what happened because it is impossible to follow along. I would like to play a more average player, if such exists. Than...

They can't reinforce, they can't upgrade, movement is limited to 1, they are more affected by ZOC, and their effectiveness drops like a stone.

If you really want to make the most of encircling, you have to cut units off from cities. Sometimes that means concentrating on taking and holding the city itself as your primary objective. Units that can't trace to a city, port, or surface ship are basically screwed. If you have time to wait them o...

I can encircle the hell out of the AI, but have never tried it against a human. May get my chance soon.

I would like to play a game, vanilla. I have 1.12. I am not very good, in all likelihood, though like everyone else I can beat the AI.

Seeking PBEM game

I am seeking an opponent for a PBEM game, vanilla game (I have not familiarized myself with the mod, and I have a hard time keeping track of house rules in any case). I am probably not very good, but the AI is really rather dull to play at this point. EDIT: Sorry, I just realized there is a thread f...

Longest France Has Ever Held Out?

I just kept France alive until August '41 against the AI. What's the longest anyone has lasted?

Do you find it is still easy to beat the AI even when it has an advantage? Even with the max advantage?

Effect of Advantage?

So far I have only plaid the AI. My first few games I gave myself an advantage. I notice that it really upped my income.

What happens when I give the AI an advantage? (All my recent games have been even). Does it just give the computer more stuff or does it also cut back on my income?

Thanks.

I can't even find a way to place it on the exclusion list. This version of McAfee seems not to have that function.

CEaW False Positive for Trojan

For some reason, McAfee shows the executable for this game as a trojan, "Generic.dx" and deletes the file. The only way for me to play the game is disable virus protection while playing. Well, unfornately, when I went to open the folder with the game in it, to look at the manual, McAfee wa...

What Unit Type Should Leaders be Attached To?

I searched for some commentary on this and found that the question was raised a couple of times but no one responded. I typically put them in armor or mech. The advantage is A) you get to use their unique bonus for that unit, whereas putting them on an inf back from the lines wastes that; B) when of...

Good points about undo.

Here's another wish: rail points should expand as you take territory. Germany can control the Continent from Lisbon to Perm and still have only two rail points. That seems out of sorts.
