Re: Feedback wanted: personnel management screen

Certainly an improvement from the current system. Will the filters sort all the pages or just the one on screen? I suggest one of the filters be "unassigned" so we can find these guys quickly. I am not happy to see only four staff per page... that's a lot of pages to cycle through. Truth b...

Re: Catastrophic missions

Agreed, prestige is easy and mid game cash is too low. As a player I want to run all of the rocket programs and secondary probe programs not required to get to the moon. It's impossible currently.

Re: SPM v. 0.7.17 is now available

Hello guys, I pointed this thread to Boris, the UI artist. He will do some UI tests in the next few days. He'll give it a go to the olive green idea as well. Don't worry about the images in the news screen and the text messages, we're planning to use different versions depending on the space agency...

0.7.17 Round two

I played through another NASA sandbox game with a personal goal of getting to the moon before 1975 (which I finally did) and not skipping rocket programs in an attempt to “game the game” but instead using the rocket programs as payloads require. This worked surprisingly well and was more fun. In my ...

It would also help us in selecting our pilots for missions in order to ensure we are spreading them out.

Re: Graphics and music

I actually came away with the opposite opinion. The graphics style here is consistent and allows all manner of coverage where in BARIS they used film footage of various quality and of totally different rockets and mission sequence segments than was actually being flown. I thought it looked great in ...

Astronauts

When we eventually get the historical US and Soviet campaigns will we use the real astronaut names? If not, is there any way we could be allowed to edit their names? I find the current names difficult to grow attached to... perhaps when the pictures are added it will help (they are coming right?). F...

Re: Payloads and other issues

Very cool! What about old programs that you close? My "manage R/D" button gets crowded with tons of old hardware to scroll through in the later stages of the game. For instance, it would be nice if when I close the Mercury program that the Mercury capsule disappears from this list unless I...

Re: Payloads and other issues

The OP concerns were also some of my own. Does researching some of the smaller short-term use rockets help reduce the R/D rate on the bigger ones? It seems like this would be a good way to ensure we bother with these fun little rockets.

I couldn't agree more with your thoughts. I went through a period when I was training nearly everyone a little bit and it was truly unbearable.

I am confident they can tidy some of this up.

Re: SPM v. 0.7.16 is now available

I am not sure we need 12 turns a year but maybe each turn could be two months. I don't see any reason not to lengthen the playtime in this game, it's fun.

If we want to get more complicated the 50's could be 4 turns a year and the 60's 6 turns.

Critical Events

Not sure if this is possible considering you can skip the mission sequence but it would be interesting to consider an occasional "decision point" during a mission when a critical problem occurs. i.e. there is a problem during the mission and the player can decide whether to continue with t...

Re: [SUPPORT] CRC Error reinstall game

This worked. I never used the original installer from back when I first purchased the game because I didn't want to play it until it came along more, merely financially supporting it. When I finally went to play a few months ago and now the installers never worked (CRC error). Using the original fil...

Re: First impressions

Obviously I cannot wait for the historical campaigns and frankly the game currently seems hard in respect with me trying to keep the known real life schedule. I barely completed or even attempted many of the non essential programs and didn't even launch one Saturn V rocket by 1974. The game seems t...
