Does Desert War 1940-1942 share its engine with WEGO World War II: Stalingrad? They look identical as far as the UI is concerned.

Is there a WEGO game similar to this but not at the scale of Desert War 1940-1942?
I can't deal with hundreds of units. I prefer more of a beer & pretzels game with the number of units in the low double digits.

I tried changing ZOOMLIMIT and ZOOMINLIMIT and nothing changes.

You can (a) add the line NOZOOMLIMIT 1 to the USER.TXT file in Documents/My Games/SANCTUS which removes any zoom limit at all. Or you can (b) open the installer folder and navigate to DATA and open the MAPVIEW.TXT file which will allow you to tinker with the various camera view and limits as desire...
