Interception charge and stepping forward. V3
I had a situation, where a BG of four sycthed chariots declared a charge on enemy Pike BG. Another Enemy Pike BG declared an interception charge. It was'nt a flank charge , and the two of the chariots hit two bases of the intercepting unit. However the other two chariot bases could have stepped forw...

Re: Medium foot Javelinmen
I think what led to my confusion, was nothing is listed in the shooting capability column of the army lists, only light spear in the impact phase. So I am guessing only troop types titled javelinmen are treated as such, and not other troops who use a lt spear in the impact phase ?

Wolves from the Sea. Post Roman army list query.
Reading the special instructions for this army list, it says "Except those in a British allied contingent can be classified differently from those in the main army, ALL UNDRILLED FOOT must be classified the same" Post Roman also have the option of drilled foot. Does this mean I could have ...

Re: Impact support fire.
Thanks Dave. Yeah, just re read the rules. 2nd or 3rd, but not both. I'm actually a member of the Liverpool War-game's Society. We have been playing a while, but now and again you re- read the rules and come across something you haven't been doing or have missed.

Impact support fire.
Played a game today Classical Indian v Later Persian. A unit of Persian cavalry charged an Indian medium foot bow armed battle group. My opponent claimed extra dice for a second rank of bow, which it appears he is able do so upon consulting the rules. Which begs the question can a BG composed of med...

Battle Wagon shooting ranges ?
Hi Folks,
I am in the process of painting up a Classical Indian army. I know they can field up to six battle wagons with bow capability. Now the rules say they count as foot, but what range do they have, medium, light ? Considering chariots with bows only can fire up to four MUs.
Thanks in advance.

Fighting in two directions.
Hi folks, If a BG joins an existing melee to an enemies' flank or rear, and the enemy has all of its elements committed. Does the enemy count as fighting in two directions or does the BG joining the melee only count as an overlap ? I must admit I find the two direction rule a bit vague, or maybe I'm...
