Re: FoG:AM v3 Lost Lists
Hi Nik I’m banging on about Babylon because for centuries it seems to me it was the power around which all others revolved, especially Assyria. In the previous FoG lists the early Babylonian state, famously that of Hammurabi, was in Lost Scrolls being one form of the Amorite Kingdoms list. Shockingl...

Re: FoG:AM v3 Lost Lists
Hi Nik This thread is starting to fill those unfortunate holes..... I'm glad you have done the Neo Babylonians. Any chance for the earlier Babylonian armies? Hammurabi maybe, or the Kassites, or all those rebellions against the Assyrians? Also, is there a rule of thumb one could use to expand up an ...

Re: The future of FOG-AM competitions...
One other thing - on the version 3 lists. What happened to Babylon? Erased from history? Not even an ally list? One of the great empires just gone - Wow!
Otherwise a good set.

Re: The future of FOG-AM competitions...
As ever I am a bit odd - I am being tempted back to FoGAM by version 3. I've mainly been playing FoGR for a couple of years. Why did I do that - novelty mainly, a couple of new centuries I hadn't looked at for a long time. I also moved to the Isle of Wight where the availability of FoG games of any ...

Hi Guys
I'm one of the five - where should I send a list and by what date?
I note a suggestion that 6 was the minimum - only one more to go!

Re: FoG:R Update - List Changes
At last we have sense on the Polish Hussars! Their battlefield behaviour should now reflect performance. The change for the French DH also seems highly reasonable. These both get my support.

Re: Fake hussars
They were used in the Battle of Warsaw in 1656 (so belong in the Later Polish Lithuanian list). If I remember the accounts of the battle correctly they stood on a rise and looked threatening. I don't recall them being used in any other engagement.

Hi Richard. In the FoGR rules did you intend that an army with, for example, no cavalry above average should make half his mounted units superior?

Re: Making Poles work.
I am painting the Poles now and I'm looking forward to using them. Sadly I don't expect to meet most of their historical opponents in their greatest victories - Early Russian, Early Vasa Swedish and so on - except possibly various Ottoman armies. I have tried against an Early Ottoman and won a famou...

Swedish Brigade
I expect I'm missing something, but I'm trying to work out the benefits of a Swedish Brigade formation. Reference is made to 'the normal benefits of a Swedish Brigade Formation', but I haven't been able to find what they are. They must be good because you pay extra to have one. I have diligently plo...

I'm neutral on whether there should be beginner and advanced versions of the rules. I do however feel it is very important to have all the rules on a particular subject in one place. Colour block them, use fonts or use whatever method going to differentiate them, but (for example) how to do shooting...

I'm not aware of any art or descriptions of non horse archer Parthian shots - but others may know of oodles of stuff that I know not of. As the rules stand all light horse and light chariots can shoot backwards. Crossbows, handguns, javelins or whatever. It wouldn't I imagine be a big change to limi...

In the end the rules will be allowing us to do (almost) what we want and interpret the ability of the generals in our favourite armies as we wish (lets hear it now - Arthur for IC!) and keeps it withing the points structure. (I still think we should have allied and and multiple ICs if we want Richar...
