// NAME
scenario_name = Karelian Isthmus - Winterhorde Onward Ride

// DESCRIPTION
scenario_descr = As the Russo-Finnish War begins, the Kremlin pompously anticipates a steamroller campaign that will crush puny Finland within a week. With an air of overconfidence, The Workers' and Peasants' Red Army (RKKA) crosses the Finnish border on the morning of 30 November. Finnish Forces are hopelessly outnumbered and possess virtually no armor, yet their High Command has organized four 'Covering Groups' that will fight a series of stubborn delaying actions back to the Mannerheim Line. If successful, this will allow for an extended period to muster more troops as well as improve the condition of that crucial defensive position.

// BRIEFINGS
briefing_2_0 = Kun yrität olla ystävä venäjän kanssa, pidä veitsi lähellä! (When trying to be friends with Russia, keep the knife close!) It is ironic that, back in October, we offered to cede this area around Terijoki to the Soviets in order to satisfy their demand for a strategic buffer protecting Leningrad. No, they wanted more. Much more, the pigs. Now they will have to fight for what they could have had for nothing.
briefing_2_1 = The enemy is approaching along both banks of the Terijoki in the southeast. The river is quite wide at that point, making it impassable for the southern column . . .
briefing_2_2 = . . . until it reaches this crossing to the west. Here is where we may make a stand to prevent at least half of the Soviet forces from crossing the Terijoki. The villages of Vammelsuu, Tyrisevä, and Raivola dominate approaches to the bridge, making them key objectives themselves. Of course, we must try to hold the village of Terijoki as well.
briefing_2_3 = The enemy intends to roll over our forces and continue north on these two main roads. We must stop them or at least delay them long enough so that preparations for a strong defense can be set up along the Mannerheim Line.
briefing_2_4 = The future of our country is at stake and every man must do his duty with fortitude. Remember, 'Rohkea mies syö keittoa, ujo mies ei edes saa kaalia.' (The brave man eats soup, the shy man doesn't even get cabbage.)

objective_3_0 = Soviets exit

// TRIGGER TEXTS
event_trigger_28_61_title = Baron Mannerheim
event_trigger_28_61_text = 'We are fighting for our homes, our faith, and our country.' In this time of national emergency, 72-year-old Baron Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim puts aside his disagreements with the government over its slow pace of rearmament, withdraws his resignation, and now resumes his rank as Field Marshal and Commander-in-Chief of Finnish armed forces.

// OUTCOME EVENTS
outcome_2_0_title = Major Defeat
outcome_2_0_text = Terijoki has fallen, the Terijokivirta Bridge and nearby strongpoints have been captured, and the Red Army is rapidly moving north. In short, a rout. This war has certainly begun inauspiciously.
outcome_2_1_title = Minor Defeat
outcome_2_1_text = Unfortunately, though we have earned a tactical victory by holding territory in the environs of Terijoki, it is a strategic defeat. The Soviets have broken through and are advancing north.
outcome_2_2_title = Draw
outcome_2_2_text = We did lose important territory in the vicinity of Terijoki, but the main thing is, we have delayed the Soviets long enough to make a difference. Our valiant stand here will long be remembered.
outcome_2_3_title = Minor Victory
outcome_2_3_text = We did lose important territory in the vicinity of Terijoki, but the main thing is, we have delayed the Soviets long enough to make a difference. Our valiant stand here will long be remembered.
outcome_2_4_title = Major victory
outcome_2_4_text = Against overwhelming odds, we have won a major victory at the very outset of this war. Well done! Perhaps now the Soviets will come to their senses and sue for peace. Yes . . . perhaps.
